Countess Fiona
The “Countess Fiona" is a fine vessel with an interesting life. Built on the Clyde in 1936 for the Caledonian Steam Packet Company and launched as the "Countess of Breadalbane" she went into service, briefly, on Lock Awe.

Countess Fiona

The war years saw her laid up. In 1952 after an overland trip (which by all accounts was quite an adventure) to be refitted by her builders she became a familiar sight cruising her hor'.e river from Gourock, Holy Loch, Largs, Millport and most other local ports of call. In 1971 she changed her name again - to "Countess of “Kempock"and was set to plying the inner Hebridean routes from Oban to Mull, Siffa and lona. In 1982 she returned to the role she was created for – loch crusing – and took her new name “Fiona”.
